"Scaly Anteater was founded in 2003 by singer and frontwoman Kia, by guitarist and songwriter K and by drummer and percussionist Somke. At the beginning Rad joined the band as bass player and they increased their efforts on covers to find a correct musical balance, playing all together. In early 2004, the lineup was completed by K and Kia's friend: July substituted Rad, Skp joined the rock band with his keyboards and Jonny added his talent as lead guitarist with his solos. Meanwhile, Scaly Anteater started to perform on shows live and they become very popular in their country. In 2005 Skp left the band during a tour, reportedly because of creative differences. It was the year of lineup changes: Scaly Anteater's bass player became Cillo (ex Egarth), then K and then, at the end, MdM. With this new and definitive lineup, Scaly Anteater won different prizes and musical seletion, even in Europe (i.e. European Music Festival 2005). In 2007, the band started to write down new songs, creating what they call Nu Gothic Rock: a new conception of rock characterized by guitar-based music, violins and dark lyrics. Many unofficials EPs are printed, but we are still waiting the new CD that it seems it will be as usual a good discovered."
